My recipe style is simple yet special. I think the best dishes are those that are easy to make, but have enough of a twist to feel out of the ordinary, surprising, indulgent. Real delight at the table without a lot of effort.

Cherry Marketing Institute
These recipes were created for a joint promotion between the Cherry Marketing Institute and the Maine Lobster Promotion Council targeting chefs in upscale restaurants. They were in addition to seven recipes for cherry mise en place, if you will, for CMI, including Cherry Walnut Vinaigrette, Cherry Butternut Squash Stuffing, and Fire-roasted Corn Cherry Salsa (please contact me if you're interested in seeing those recipes).

Michigan Asparagus Advisory Board
I did a series of fourteen school foodservice recipes for the Michigan Asparagus Advisory Board - all had to be less than 30% fat, appealing to kids, and extremely easy for school cafeteria staff to prepare. They were such a hit, I was hired to translate them into consumer versions as well. Here's one.

GreatEntertaining.com was a web site featuring party inspiration, planning, and supplies. As their Food Editor, I created many recipes for many parties with different themes. For an Academy Awards party menu, each dish honored one of that year's nominees for Best Picture - this one was for "American Beauty."
