The biggest news is - I'm about to sign a deal for
a food and wine pairing cookbook of my own.
It's not inked yet, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Stay tuned...
Meanwhile, I'm working on recipes for a JCPenny's cookbook,
tentatively titled The Cook's Treasury,
This comes on the heels of my first two book projects,
including developing the recipes for New York Times Best Seller Skinny Bitch in the Kitch, by Rory Friedman and Kim Barnouin.
Check it out on Amazon.com.
The other book project was contributions to a recently-released
Weight Watchers cookbook called Shortcuts: 130
Almost-From-Scratch Recipes, also available on Amazon.com. That's
my recipe on the cover!

Amidst that, I'm staying busy with magazine work, including
first-ever assignments from Cooking Light, for
their April 2009 and Summer Cookbook 2009 issues, and Clean
Eating, for their Fall 2008 issue. I'll also be appearing
in Country Home for the first time in September
2008.
My most
recent piece in Bon Appetit was their their January 2008
issue with recipes for a steak dinner, including Pan-seared
New York
Steaks with Boursin and Herbed Merlot Sauce.
Click
here to read it. I'll also be in their August 2008 issue with recipes for 4 no-cook sauces and in
their October 2008 issue with canning recipes.
Also this spring, I'm back in Napa Sonoma magazine, with
a story on luxury lodgings in the wine country - you can
read it here.
I continue to stay busy at Copia: The American Center
for Wine, Food & the Arts where I'm Senior Culinary
Instructor and teach the Taste
of Copia Lunch, our signature full-meal food and wine program,
along with other programs. For details, visit
www.copia.org.
And
this fall, I'll be teaching 4 classes at
Ramekins
in Sonoma - Chicken: Basics & Beyond on September 26, Everything's
Better With Booze on October 17, Quick Soups & Quick Breads on
November 22, and Dungeness Crab Party on December 13.
